lots of courage was needed.
cockroaches.

and about knowing God's heart.
willing heart to obey God's knock.
heart for the poor.
museum. skulls... corpse. faces.. tiny cells..
pain. family..

beggars.
children without arms.
toddler sleeping on the ground, under a food cover.
men without legs.
ladies carrying naked babies begging for money.
old ladies and men without teeth.
child who couldn't speak.
painful sight.
children's hugs. children's smiles.
children's hands. children's singing.
rejoice in the Lord always.
those made our stay at hope village memorable.
he's the youngest.
added so much joy to our entire trip.
adorable smile.
running around giving all of us huggies.
carrying him made my day.
he did all he could.
helped in scrubbing the floor and getting water.
called my name "jie jie sherlyn!" once in a while.
telling me of a new discovery.
he wanted so much to play with the kids that he didn't want to go to town.

she was my asia hotel buddy and my bus ride buddy.

much much more
i learnt so much the past 2 days in Bible trail.prayer is important. i haven't been praying alot actually.
it's not that we forget God in our lives. it's not a memory problem.
the underlying reason is that we choose to live life without God.
that's our sinful mind.
we should stop cutting corners in our relationship with God.
Rev Schoof talked about Isaiah 43:1-2 today
here are a few points i learnt:
God knows us by name.
God cares for us much more than we can imagine.
God loves us much more than we can believe.
We are much more important to God than we realise.
He possesses us, so He will protect us.
Faith is designed to work best in weakness.
He wisely allows us to struggle.
And from Jeremiah 20 i learnt:
Even when Jeremiah felt betrayed by God,
the first thing he did was to talk to God.
Even though Jeremiah felt that God is weak,
but he proclaimed truths he knew about God.
Isaiah 43:1-2
But now thus says the LORD,
He who created you, O Jacob,
He who formed you, O Israel:
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
And through the rivers,
They shall not overwhelm you;
When you walk through the fire you shall not be burned,
And the flame shall not consume you."
i think... that's the verse. verse 1.
written on her little 'home'.
i remember seeing it engraved there.
i think so.

my brain is totally saturated with information for 3 modules.which means 3 textbooks
13x3 weeks of lecture notes
10x3 weeks of tutorials
3 sets of self notes.
brain shutting down.
information overload.
memory full.
and i haven't even really memorized all the info.
taking 3 exams in 2 days is no joke.
it's 445am. i better get to bed. have got church in a few hours.
God, i need Your grace and Your strength and Your peace.
