great night out
had a really fun night out on saturday!! the 4 of us young ones and the 4 of them younger ones! settler's cafe is a cool place to relax and enjoy. so many of them did so many funny things which sent all of us almost tumbling off our chairs. heh! F and her hammering, J and her creative description of things, everyone screaming and stacking their hands on top of one another, trying not to be the last. there was this very amusing, cranky and funny waiter there. did alot of blur and funny things! he was another reason why we laughed so hard! haha..!! i was so happy to see JJ,J and A from my 1st 3 months class at settlers! so surprised. YL and A were there with their jc friends too!
after settler's we went to boat quay to sing happy bd to J, and enjoy the night breeze. only left the place at 10 plus which was rather late for the younger ones. next time we'll meet earlier so that we can have more time together and they can get home early too. =) yay! looking forward to our next outing!!
i thank God for giving all of us a wonderful time together. thank God for each and everyone of them. all so special and unique in their own way, yet all in His family.

i love fridays
finally it's the end of this long week. tutorials started. bahasa indonesia is quite difficult, but interesting. hope that next time if we go to batam again, i can communicate with the kids there. because of my schedule this semester, i have to get up at 7am for 6 days a week!!!!! so tiring. but well, am looking forward to tomorrow! going to visit my grandfather in the morning and having dinner with a bunch of friends in the evening! i think it's gona be so fun! yay!happy bd to u, happy bd to u, happy bd to j-a-n, happy bd to u. where have you gone?
since last year, i have been looking high and low for it.. cold storage, giant, ntuc, liberty, cheers, batam, malaysia... everywhere! but i can't find it. they used to produce this huge (very huge) can of planters cheez curls. cost about $12 bucks for one can, the flavour and the taste of it is just amazing. it's the best ever snack you can get.
i was checking the internet for it yesterday, and guess what? planters has discontinued production of planters cheez curls! and many people's lives has been turned upside down because of that! ha. read so many entries of people looking for it, all over the world!
it has always been my favourite snack! what can i do now? nothing can substitute those cheez curls. used to eat an everage of 4 cans per month. but now.... nothing's left! part of my life is missing now without those yummy cheez curls.... anyone has planters cheez curls???? or the contact number of mr planter? please help me tell him to start producing those cheez curls again!!!

exceeding joy, being still
exceeding joy: pastor was talking about how we should serve God with exceeding joy. he said that many of us in serving God, compare our own standards with those of others. and it discourages us seeing other people doing a better job than us. other times, we are so possessive over our ministry that we start building up small kingdoms for ourselves. at times we serve God with an outward smile, but inside us, we are thinking, "why must I be the one doing this? can't someone else do it?" therefore we become jealous, we become bitter, we become tired, we become discouraged in serving Him. this year, i pray that God will help me serve Him with exceeding joy.being still: it was a good evening spending time with J by the singapore river. the wind was gently blowing and the weather was just right for me and Him. it has been long since i read His word. but yesterday i took it out with me and sat by clarke quay. He spoke to me through Psalms. He told me to "be still and know that He is God" then He reminded me of having a pure heart. and He explained to me that riches cannot go with a man when he dies. thank you J for these precious lessons.

back
KL trip. just 3 days, but i felt as if i visited the whole of KL. SK drove us around, shopping at the popular malls and eating good food. we ate all the way until 2am in the morning. it was a good spending time with SK and JF. got to know them a little better, especially SK, because we got to meet all her family members! Lord, i pray for these 2 friends. may You help them to know You one day.met up with MF, WL, WT, C, SY yesterday for dinner. it was to celebrate MF's 21st bd. we ate at a jap restaurant at suntec then we rushed down to mindscafe. it's something like settlers' cafe where we get to play board games and munch. had a fabulous time. the whole evening was full of laughter and smiles. we played this follow the monkey game. so when 2 of us have the same monkey card, we have to do the monkey's action. the one who does it first will win. the tricky part is that the monkey's actions all look similar! May the 5 of them know You too.
