27th college day

this year's college day was quite significant to me coz i got the COLOURS award. i remember seeing michaela and angie get the colours award for touch rugby last year. i never imagined that one year later, i'd be the one. one year has just flew past and i have enjoyed every single moment in touch rugby. the gals are lovely and the game is addictive. soon i'll be stepping down already... my job would finally be completed... i feel both sad and happy. i'll definitely miss the team and the touch table. touch rug has been the best thing that i've experienced in JC. life in JC would be totally B-O-R-I-N-G without touch. i thank God for putting me where i am today. so, yup, season's over, now it's time to study and mug. Lord, please help me to be disciplined and to enjoy the process of studying. help me to manage my time well so that i can study hard and be faithful in ministry too. amen!

Adoniram Judson

today i was at a YFC session. the speaker was very interesting... he shared with us the life of Adoniram Judson. Adoniram Judson was the first foreign missionary in America. He went to Burma to do the Lord's work. after 23 years in Burma, he finally completed the Burmese Bible! throughout his stay there, he had to experience the deaths of his wives(1st and 2nd), children(many of them), missionary friends and father. He was even jailed for 2 years because the people there assumed that all foreigners were spies. he went through many hardships. but yet, he still persevered and continued in his ministry. if he were here today, i'm sure he'll say that everything he went through was worth it. 48 years after he set foot in Burma, he died. Because of his example and the foundation he laid, when he died, there were 7000 burmese believers! i admire his perseverance and devotion to God... He constantly looked to God for strength and he was faithful to God all the way. he went through so much but never once said to God, "I give up!" that's something i've got to learn. =)

chem BT2

today was exciting!!!!! at 1055am, when i was at home, doing some last minute studying for chem, Yuhan called to ask me if i had an extra calculator.... so i just happened to ask her what time the chem paper's at. to my horror, she said, "11!!!!!!!!!" i was like, "WHAT???? oh no! i'm still at home! i thought it was at 1pm!" so i immediately packed up all my stuff at top speed, got ready and flew down to school in a cab! out of all days, and all times, there was a traffic jam on the expressway. one lane was under construction! finally i reached the exam hall about 15 mins late. did my entire chem paper with the feeling that my heart was thumping so hard that it could just jump out any moment! haha... what an experience. but i thank God that i managed to sit for the paper... =) could see His hand at work! =)
